We had a fantastic Holy Week this year starting with the Parish Grouping Songs of Praise on Palm Sunday. It was great to see Annbank church so full and the singing was fantastic.
Then in a new departure we joined with the folks at St Anns for a very moving Stations of the Cross on Wednesday. Communion the on Thursday is always a special service, as is our Tenebrae on Good Friday. Another new addition this year was the Walk of Witness from Annbank Church to Tarbolton Church. The Local Radio Station was somewhat confused and described it as "some form of protest march" on the Mauchline Road. For those who couldn't come here are the pictures of the dangerous revolutionaries who took to the streets on Good Friday.
Actually the cross is a symbol of Revolution, of the world turned upside down, of protest against injustice, and of victory and triumph over sin and death. So West Sound wasn't so very wrong.
Heading down into Tarbolton, described by one walker as "looking like the Promised land", the first time Tarbolton has ever been described like that

Checking the weather forecast on the mobile phone to see whether it was due to get any colder. It was.
